Frequently Asked Questions

What is a health coach?

A health coach is your personal advisor, cheerleader, and guide to all things health related including diet, exercise, stress management, and self-care. As your coach, I will listen to your unique health concerns and we will work together to create realistic goals to help you feel your very best.  No two people are the same and that is why no one plan, diet or exercise routine works for everyone. Through mindful listening, asking questions and addressing all aspects of your life, we will work together to come up with the best plan to help you feel your best!

Is a health coach a nutritionist or a dietitian?

I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and not a nutritionist or dietitian. I have been trained on many different nutritional and diet theories, but also in other areas such as fitness, mindfulness, stress relief, and more. The main goal as your health coach is to listen to you, guide you toward feeling your best, and hold you accountable to your goals.

What will my sessions look like?

Each session will be a little different. We will start with a thorough health questionnaire that will ask many in-depth questions about all aspects of your life. This will provide good insight into who you are and where we are starting. In each session after that, we will dive into the areas in which you are seeking to improve. We will discuss progress on goals, setbacks, and I will provide tips and guidance to help you feel your best each week.

How/when will we meet?

Currently I am offering online virtual appointments. I hope to begin meeting in-person very soon.

For one-on-one sessions, we will meet every 2 weeks. The sessions will last for 50 minutes and we will continue to meet for at least 6 months.

For group workshops, we will meet once a week for 90 minutes. These group workshops last for approximately 4 months.
